Let's write your Will together.
We'll walk through it one question at a time. There's no pressure to finish in one
sitting. Your progress saves automatically, so you can step away and pick up right where you
left off.
Most people get their legally valid Will in just 15 mins.
First, the legal bits…
For your Will to be valid in Australia, all three of these need to be true.
What's your residential address?
Each state has its own Wills legislation. We tailor your signing instructions to match.
What's your legal name?
Exactly as it appears on your ID or passport. This is the name your Will is made in. Include a maiden name or any name on old bank accounts or property titles; listing them helps your executor gather everything.
When is your birthday?
What is your relationship status?
Do you have any children?
Include all biological and legally adopted children, of any age.
Do you have any pets?
How would you like them to be looked after or cared for.
Who should care for your children?
Because you have a child under 18, you can appoint a guardian — the person who would raise them if you (and their other parent) were gone. Choose someone you trust deeply, and talk to them about it first.
And a backup guardian?
Strongly recommended — if your first choice can't step in, this saves the court from deciding without your input.
Who should look after your pets?
This is a wish rather than a binding direction, but it tells your executor whom to connect with.
Now, your executor.
Your executor is the person who carries out your Will. They handle your estate, settle debts, close accounts, and make sure everything goes to the right people. It's a real responsibility, so choose someone organised, trustworthy, and ideally younger than you.

Progress saved.
Your Will is saved for the next 48 hours. We'll email you if you need a nudge to finish it.
Who is your executor?
Make sure to choose someone who is 18 or older in age
Do you have superannuation?
Your superannuation and life insurance are not distributed according to your Will. They're paid according to the binding nomination you hold with your fund or insurer. Make sure to always check those details are up to date.
Which assets does your Will need to cover?
Everyone's circumstances are different. We'll guide you to the legal support that best reflects your family, your wishes, and the life you've built.
What's the total value of all your assets?
This is an approximate value of all the 'big' things you own. No need to deduct your liabilities. This helps us give you the right guidance for your situation.
Would you like to leave any gifts?
Leave gifts or an amount for family, friends or charities. E.g. grandma's ring to your niece, $5,000 to a friend, and a donation to a cause you love.
Who should receive the rest of your estate?
After debts and any specific gifts, everything left over is your residuary estate — usually the biggest part of a will.
Who gets what?
Add each beneficiary and their share. Shares must total exactly 100%.
If a beneficiary dies before you, where should their share go?
It happens more often than you'd think, deciding now avoids disputes later.
Do you have a preference for your farewell?
Funeral wishes guide your family. They're not legally binding, but they take a hard decision off their shoulders.
